Reframing in Post-Processing


Reframing, or secondary composition, is a crucial aspect of post-processing in photography.

Often, due to fixed proportions, focal lengths, or minor inaccuracies during shooting, we find the need to adjust the composition in post-production. This process allows us to refine the visual balance and emphasis of our photos.

Here are some examples:

People by the river taken from a distance using an iPhone
Cropped photo of people by the river
Bridge and people on it taken from a distance using an iPhone
Cropped photo of bridge and people on it.
Sand mounds and people in the desert using an iPhone, with the mounds and people in the center of the frame.
After cropping, the center of gravity of the image is shifted downward
